it is easy...it's just hard to acquire the right tools, workspace, panels, and to know the order! i gotta say, my spot welder, just like the one he has, makes this work wayyy easier.

| Anyone else get that sinking feeling when you first open up a can of worms like that and see all the other panels that are rotten too? So on the upper cuts he did an over lap and tinned it. Ive never done that before, probably easy to use too much heat and create warpage. Why not fill the vertical seams too? It would seem like a good way to keep water out of them and avoid all the usual seam rust issues. Nice work. |

Nice work. When I've done similar T3 repairs I've brought the panels up into the window region so you can spot weld along the bottom window "lip". The only areas that needed any body work were the pillars.

Very inspiring as im facing rear quarter replacement! Love that when all looks hopeless and overwhelming, someone else proves that anything can be fixed and repaired! Im self taught, and muddle along figuring it out, but little by little im replacing panels and fixing rust areas. Maybe one day it will be all one color, but in the mean time, I drive it almost daily and always get complements on it. The best part is the smile i have when driving a van I have owned for nearly 40 yrs ( Anniversary coming up Oct 17!)

Kills me to see all the stuff hes exposed to. and no dust mask or respirator half the time. Twice he uses a welder w no mask. Man o man. Good work but WTH?
