Without doing a search there was a thread which rambled on for several pages dedicated to headlights being too bright. All the usual geezers checked in to commiserate. Similar to the others like motorcycles too loud, bad drivers, left lane sitters, folks that don’t flush the crapper or wash hands after leaving the head, nose pickers, new cars being too complicated, cell phones, govt spying, saying please and thanks, what former owners have done or not done and how about vent hoods?? it just goes on and on. I wonder what or how it would be received if a positive thread was posted. You know something nice and beneficial. Very Happy

I got up today and the sun was shining. Although I’m a tiny bit arthritic I got that hot shower and had hot coffee, what a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

A "Only positive stuff" thread might be interesting if you want to have credit for starting it.

With chocolate syrup.
And whipped cream on top.

If it’s only positive nothing electrical will work.

Babble on as you will about geezers and commiserating, but you're the only one who seems to have not even noticed it...perhaps you're in a cloud, or God blessed you with light-blocking filters within your eyeballs. Or else you live in the sticks and don't have to face hundreds or thousands of beams burning your retinas on the typical drive to work (or coming home in the evening). No doubt, you're the sole minority on this topic, it's all discussed right here (and in various other articles about the Web):

https://kdvr.com/2019/01/22/headlights-are-getting-brighter-and-causing-problems-for-other-drivers/
https://www.lohud.com/story/news/2018/12/19/headlights-getting-brighter/2214811002/

There are also articles done a couple years ago about how even though the lights are brigher, many of them aren't any more effective than the good old incandescent bulbs. Go figure.

No Everett, the lights aren't speed related any more. The local speed is only 40klm.

Positive hat on, I read "Tuesdays with Morrie" and he said, "who'd want to be young again, I'm having the time of my life trying out this age (never done that before!) If you've found meaning in life who wants to go back, you want to go forward. You want to see more and do more... In truth, part of me is every age, Im a three year old, a five year old, a thirty seven year old and a fifty year old. I've been all of them and I know what its like. I delight in being a child when it's appropriate to be a child, a wise old man when it's appropriate to be a wise old man. Think of all the things I can be! I'm every age up to my own."

I make a weekly drive to the bay area on the same day, 700 miles round trip. Lucky for me, I am still healthy and have good vision (don't know for how long) I do find that I feel tired for a longer period of time, as before I could drive and drive and drive..
