Eric, the centre rope passes through two gutter clamps and makes a loop. It is somewhat tricky to put on by yourself. You have to throw the rope over the canoe, adjust the clamps in the proper spot (just behind the front doors), and then reef the rope tightly. Do this rope (or strap) before doing the front and back. It makes a huge difference.

The roof tent is called a Camp'otel. I believe they were made in the 50's/60's. I have a few friends with them and if your on Instagram I can connect you with them.

Daily T5 with roof tent for the kids and Coleman Shelter for the split is the way we go. Very Happy
