Yes I saw it on Instagram yesterday. A known car that seems to have been neglected.

it was in a barn awaiting restoration, but kids playing with fireworks burn the barn down - then car is left out in the weeds and weather for years....seems odd to me

Was it on air-ride Wink
It seems pretty crusty down under, but awesome for a restoration nevertheless.

That is the story. The owner died some years ago. Car was last seen complete in the early 90s . Then it was stored in a barn made of firewood with tarpin over it. Kids played with matches and crackers... bang. The car stayed on the spot for years on the montain' alp at high altitude. No road to it. Family never took care of the remains until a couple weeks ago when it was sudenly Hot as can be when someone poste new picts of it in the open nature. I was realy close to it to get in touch with owner's son but Christian Grundmann beat me in the race...only a matter of bad luck for me as I had the phone nr from the owners house in Germany and a mailing adress, But he was not at home on that morning. He was however in the village where Christian's hunter found him. Not bad to lose from the best Wink

It’s been subjected to some serious heat. Love the coil had just dropped it’s internals and all what’s left of the carb is the throttle spindle and butterfly.

Serious restoration, serious money and skill to put that right.

Guess you need a new coil also.. as the coil left the housing... it lies next to the distributor.. engine is a later one, as the gearbox; oval 54 I think.

It appears that the part of the generator stand where the oil filler mounts has melted away. Probably not much there to be salvaged.
