Pedrini's are 5.5x15

I have 195/55-15 front and 205/60-15 rear but that's on a Beetle. Not sure what size fits a 914. I would imagine something like a 185/70-15 and maybe a 195/65-15.

They were originally shod with 165/80x15. Those are still available but are costly and you'll probably have to order them. 185/65x15 is pretty close but will lower car 1/2" or so. A good tire size comparison i http://www.miatatirecalculator.org/

Beat me to it.

That same rim diameter and width....I run 250-60-15s comfortably. Different car.

But I think I calculated a while back that 195-65-15 will give alkost identical speedometer speeds ...if you can,get them under your fender.

There are also some superb tires available in that size. Just put a set of those on my golf crom the tire rack. Ray

195.65 will be closest to stock diameter.
I run 195.60s on my '72 914 with pedrini wheels.
Look pretty good imho, plus provide a little more acceleration.

165x15 was factory fitted stock for all 914-4 with no factory option
185/70x15 factory option for 914-6 but will fit pedrini 15 x 5.5 inch wheel
195/65x15 is the modern tire size for the wheel
205/60x15 will fit but would need to have a very stiff sidewall or the jello effect will happen when you go into a tight curve as the sidewall bulges out from the narrow wheel and flexes

I lowered the car to remove empty space above the tire, ride and handling just fine

I had 195/65-15 on Fuchs on my 914, the Fuchs are the same size and offset as the Pedrinis. Fit fine, no issues.
