Treffen was great met some old, and made new friends.
Nice to see the people of Japan also keep their aircoolded cars close to their heart.

awesome cars and pics !!! can you tell us a little more about the first VW in Japan (dark blue 52 std with chrome bumpers)?

What I have been told by Nao-san from Flat4: The 1st ever Beetle in Japan. Build in 1952, Dr. Heinz Nordhoff brought 4 splits to Japan, this is the only one known to have survived, the split is owned by Yanase (who in 1952 got the VW import contract)

That karmann convertible is a real nice example.. Ex sweden, ex Holland and now Big in Japan.
Gorgeos combination. Seems the treffen is a great meeting. Thanks for the photo's.

even the total number of cars is low (50) the quality very high, so was still a great meeting. Seen multiple cars with NL licenseplates mounted below their new Japanese licenseplate. The meeting could have a lot more cars, but guess due to the typhoon the week before and the rain forecast a lot of people did not want to take the risk of driving the distance to Fuji.
(due to typhoon some major roads are still closed, took us 5 hours to do 200km, a distance which would normally take max 2.5 hour)
