Hello. I’m the custodian of the family 1969 standard beetle (original owner). I have a spare parts kit that is with the car but of earlier vintage. Help identifying when this was offered, if it was a dealer accessory, what models and years for, is it complete, missing parts, have extra parts, etc., very much appreciated.

Check out this older thread:

Yes, it's a dealer accessory kit.

I believe your kit would be from the early 1960s, maybe 61-62?

I can see it has the parts for a 40hp engine (61-65) and not a 36hp engine (1954-1960)
Parts like the fuel pump diaphragm and fuel pump gaskets

The touch-up paint did not come in that box but was a separate item you could buy.
