We are both the newest members of the bastard bus clan. Both of our busses are deep in the early part of the 60 model year. I did score a set of bastard cylinders ,dizzy, fuel pump, pair of first generation heads, pair of second generation heads and a numbers matching for my bus replacement case. Congrats on you're new bus! _________________ Vw collection 60 combi ,61 panel ,62 deluxe micro,82 diesel Westfalia,88 Vanagon synchro,98 Jetta tdi,11 Jetta tdi mt ,11 Jetta tdi dsg.

I didn't buy it. I was there for the Ranch-Square-o and/or the 1965 "N" Squareback - neither of which came home with me.
It was nice meeting/chatting with you, we'll probably run into each other again some time. |

One of my favourite threads on here, so I thought I'd add a few more of my own. Don't think any of these have been on here before
1960 Kombi:
"A-1 MOBILE LOCKSMITH"
"EMERGENCY SERVICE"
"WE. 1-9329"
1960 Mango:
"BURGUNDY FARM"
"COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL"
"SCHOOL BUS 9"
1954 Swedish Standard:
"O.Larsson" - the owner
"Kemtratt" - Swedish for Drycleaners
"Hedemora" - A Swedish town pretty close to where the bus was found in the woods.
And my new project, '55 Sunroof Standard:
"DURACLEAN CRAFTSMEN"
"UPHOLSTERY & RUG CLEANERS"
"MOTH PROOFERS IN THE HOME SERVICE"
"BROCKTON. MASS."
"TEL. 3.4570" |

Was setting around and drinking a beer and the light in man cave hit door just right to see a faint out line of the missing name on my truck all there was before was the white lettering . I picked up truck in Burlington VT . Anyone in the area remember the company trying to find out her history. Previous owner didn’t give me much to go on .
I out lined it in sharpie to make it more visible . Thanks |
