Last day of August we parked at the Rec Center in Banff and went off to get dinner. Came back a few hours later to find our van had found some friends. Didn’t get a chance to meet the other owners.
We’ve been traveling since August 1st, and my youngest son claims we’ve seen 86 Westies in the last 9 weeks. He’s counting the 15 or so that we saw in front of Urabus in Buena Vista though, so maybe that doesn’t count.
I think he’s also including bay windows in the total. He’s not a purist I guess. _________________ 1982 Vanagon Westfalia -- 1.9 TD AAZ-like |

I only took a few pictures because I thought that Bavaria, Austria, and Switzerland are cheat mode for spotted. They are absolutely everywhere.
High top with a front window?
Transporter with mountain bikes
Really nice one
The California's were everywhere. Sad we don't get them here in the States.

Hmm, I don't recall exactly, but that could easily have been me - where on rt 7?
I'm missing inner SA lights right now - just holes...
I've seen more busses around here lately it seems. |

Whidbey Island, WA
Vanagon and Bay in matching colors. The Bay was in considerably better condition.
