Have heard that split bug had originaly double lip seal, anymore infos about ? Does somebody could confirm or not that ? |

My October '51 still has it's original seal and it is a double lip. _________________ Chris

Ok ! I was told it changed with oval era for single lip

From the 1957 Parts Manual:
111813741 Weatherstrip (length 820 mm.) Engine cover plate, front
I don't think the parts manual has your answer. If there was a change then VW decided that the new part was interchangeable with the old version. |

I update this topic, it's double lip there, but how seal lip has to go correctly? I lip over the tin one under ( not easy to do) ? Both over?
