Nope. Not Oregon. Carlton, WASHINGTON in the Methow Valley. 6 miles up Texas Creek Road. View is looking west at Sawtooth Range of Cascade Mtns. F.y.i. the largest single wildfire in the history of Washington State (the Carlton Complex fire) started here on Texas Creek Road in 2014. Over 250,000 acres burned and 353 homes, including mine on this property, were destroyed. Thankfully (and miraculously) no lives were lost. It is heartening to see now how nature is slowly recovering this area. Best wildflower show in years!
