|
|
Hi everyone,
Someone posted a picture recently that I can't find, of a Type 4 right side cylinder cover tin with an old cotter pin sticking through it by the intake manifold opening. I saw two of them this year on different buses… Today while browsing the microfiche on JerseyLooker, I came across a reference to what I think is that cotter pin; #2.
Anybody have a clue what it was for?
Robbie

Doesn’t the thermostat operated flap swing on a pin, which has a cotter pin for retention?
Going off my last type 4 tear down inthe early 1980s In Buffalo NY memory. _________________ .ssS! |

Throttle return springs hook to the cotter pins, on both sides. I'm pretty sure it's a 1972 only thing. _________________ Is your suspension broken? |

Thanks for starting this thread Robbie - I recall posting this question a few years ago on this thread:

the cotter pin as mentioned is seen here:

Tins....looks like a 72 bus? _________________ Late 1973 Bay w/a transplanted 914 Engine |
