For a couple roof holes I've cut, I've sliced the headliner similarly and then stuck pieces of plywood between headliner and roof in order to protect the head liner and then used a metal cutting blade in a power jigsaw. I'm not trying to say it's a better method, just that it might be an option for someone wanting to install a top but lacking the air tools. |

Great video! Rarely get to see the complete job fully documented. Hope you will add Part 2 to show the interior finish.
And nice to hear the acoustic guitar track instead of those air tools |

would love to switch over my existing CHC top to this. Do you have any extra hinges/parts available?

Hi. I sold the molds to the CHC roofs a couple years ago, I'm not sure if I still have the templates to make the hinges or not, I may have tossed them. If I can find them, I'll share them.
I can tell you that all the linkage pieces have the same dimensions as the Westy roof hinge, just the top piece was made different to match the CHC roof and the bottom piece was made to sit flat on the tin top roof.
