Well as if I didn't have enough projects... I decided to ride out to Virginia to pick up a 1963 double cab I lovingly refer to as the Doubleturd

The rocker work begins
Drivers side fitted
Of course I had to clamp up some more panels just so I could see it. Actually ordered a full Autocraft drivers rear quarter from Wolfsburg West instead of the gerson shorty

That thing is atrocious...and I like it. Already shaping up too - what did you use to “glue” the b pillar in? Keep it at and keep those pictures coming! _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

Haha, “don’t ever say anything you don’t want played back” or whatever Gotti said haha. I had to ask. My ‘59 was in pretty bad shape too, before I did most of the metal, but damn do I envy the cleanliness you and others achieve...
Y’all are leagues ahead me in patience, I assume ha. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

icekoffee, you are a brave man and it's always exciting to see them be saved. Can you tell me why you didn't grind the cut edges down to clean rust free metal where you tacked the new metal on? I always though it needs to be clean metal to clean metal for long lasting welds.

I was focusing on getting the multiple panels fitted first. I will hit the area with a flap disc before going at welding the panel in permanently. I get one seam right then hit it with a tack so that I could still pivot the panel and tackle the next seam. You can kind of see the first tacks I did when fitting then popped them off to try again.
I am by no means a pro at this. Just a hobbyist but I have put quite a few of these turds together.
