Has anyone sprayed satin clear over primer to seal it? Would like to seal primer as I repair parts of bay. Thanks for any info

To answer your question....no I have not.

You could always use a good two part epoxy primer to seal your work

if I understand your question, you have spray can primer that you want to seal with clear?

Doesn't sound like a great idea to me, I'd just use a good epoxy primer from a gun.

Clear urethane can be applied over primer although it is not a common method.

Phosphoric acid solution on all bare metal is the best/easiest/convenient sealer against rust.
Use red-oxide rattle can primer to get it all 1 color while you're doing bodywork.
Red-oxide shows all the flaws that need more bodywork.
2 part epoxy primer & sealer before you finish paint/clear the car for reassembly.
