I did mine yesterday. If I had a lathe and mill I could have done them up right but considering the application this will do. The post is 10mm, turned down to 8 and threaded, then milled for the flats. I used a 8mm bolt and flattened it to fit the slotted washers with a 4"grinder. The end of the flats will hold the washers in place. My shafts were very degraded so I built them up with mig and "turned" them down with the grinder.
I don't do brazing but I have no idea why anyone would use it here.
The lower one just got a little build up and grind. I didn't remove the glass this time, if you leave it in be sure to cover it as the welding and grinding will pit the glass real bad! |

Looks pretty good to me! We ended up adding some threads and shortening the spring. Will install soon. Finger crossed🤞🏼 _________________ 64 Deluxe |
