My January '64 kanadian kombi has no the rear mirror and holes.
Now I'm restoring her and I would like to install the mirror but I have no the measures of holes.
Anyone can post a pic with the right position and diameter of them?
Thanks |

My ambulance has an inside rear-view mirror, which makes absolutely no sense - there's no way to see out the back anyway!

it was to keep an eye on the back medics...to make sure they weren't taken the morphine. |
My '58 ambulance also came whit a rear view mirror and I tough that it's a bit odd. And you can also spot the mirror in the factory '58 ambulance user manual found on this site.

Here is the one our 1960 walk thru panel camper conversion came to us with. Have seen same in other late 1950s on into the early 1960s buses. Either DPO or dealer added.

My 61 DC has this installed. Hope to get it restored. Let me know if any you know of anyone who does this. Not just the glass. I'll have to remove fresh air flap to see how this is REALLY mounted. Sure looks cool though!

On my firetruck the mirror was installed later. The legislation changed and you have to have a rear view mirror even if you can't look out the back because there is no window or the equipment in the back obstructs the view. Yep, laws don't always make sense |
You can turn the interior mirror so you see out the rear of the passenger side door window. That helps a lot to reduce your blind spot on that side. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Old thread I know, but I have the same mirror in my double cab. Guess there are at least two in the world.
