good effort. you can see in your last photo that you have poor penetration on more than half of your tack welds, and then grinding down the outside makes the joint very weak. You should see a solid bead on the inside of the joint as well. A weak joint can flex and crack the filler.

Looking good Tim. You likely know this already, but just in case make sure to cover those windows while grinding/welding otherwise they’re gonna get pitted and ruined.
