Hi, all, I am getting ready to re-upholster the front and rear seats in my '57 hardtop. My question is, probably two-fold..(1) how do the rear seat luggage rails attach to the back of the rear seat upright, and (2) I imagine they go on after the board and fabric is on, right? I had someone else do it on my other Oval, but this time, I want to try and tackle it myself..I haven't stripped the rear seat down yet, and I know for sure I will need a new back board (at least it is sorta still there so I can make a pattern), so will it all become apparent when I get it apart? _________________ 2003 Samba Chummie Winner- Best Story

Dave, the rear strips will need to go before the rear backing is applied. There are small metal prongs that bend over, I don't know how you would do it later. _________________ '63 Ragtop |

Thanks, Mark, hey, if you ever decide to come down the coast, maybe even this summer, for the Airhead Parts Border to Border Treffen, make sure you let me know _________________ 2003 Samba Chummie Winner- Best Story
