After 14 weeks of unemployment, I am employed again!
Now, I can get back to working on the swap. This has turned into a quagmire without the ability to fund anything... _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Starting to fit the NOS lid and seeing what needs tweaked. The old lid had 4 holes and bondo in it.
This lid was directed my way and is pretty straight, though it will still need body worked.

Nice Brian. Sometimes I wish mine fit that good. I think they all get a little tweaked over the years. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Some of the gap appearing will be gone after adjustents. I currently have the hinges at the old lid position. I have some room to drop it a touch more. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

No more wing evidence.
After all the handwringing to make the fender flare cuts, today it was fairly easy to change up the flares from just the rears to the full set.

Holes drilled and flares officially on.
Finally, it is a custom

Looks like no trimming was required of the fenders, unless it was at the top of them. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Do you have details / photos of where /how you mounted your roll bar and rear support bars ? Did you take the rear bars back to those rear chassis bolts ? I may be forced by the regulations to put one in if I do the Wild Alaska Rally in September 2022, so am looking for ideas while I have the car in pieces.
Thanks,
Giles |

Cages tend to be sport specific. Hill climb cages are different than drag cages, for example. This car is very different since it is midengine. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Do you have all 4 on the ground in that pic? If so, then yes it needs another spline down. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I swear, going from dual carbs to turbo was much quicker than going back to dual carbs. 😡
Next up is trying to get the new to me MSD style distributor wired in correctly as well as the shift light. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Finally, all 4 corners on the ground and rolled out. Still not sure if it needs to go lower.

So, do you have the water cooled engine in it now? Or did you build another engine for it?
The drop looks ok to me. Almost just about right. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

It's alive! Now... tuning the new carbs, running the valves and trying to get the tach and shift light to share a signal. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"
