get yourself one of those chinese heaters and route the exhaust back into your engine bay. Turn it on the night before and let it purr. You'll have a nice warm block each morning. |

On the headlight question:
I bet the innards of your headlight switch are toasted. Perhaps a replacement switch and some relays are in order? (Maybe you can just install relays and get lucky. I'd actually try that first--the switch may still pass enough current to trip the relays.) _________________ Dave Cook

Get one of the new models that also have a water heater function, and run your Van's heater circuit through that.
Or get one of the Hydronic heaters that are intended to heat coolant from the get-go. |
You talking about the EGR coolers? |

You could recirculate your warm coolant using this through your heater box under the bench. Maybe there’s a thread on this but I’m getting excited about the possibilities. Warm water with copper tubing, warm coolant with a simple low draw pump, warm air. Cold weather blues gone!!! |

No, though that is certainly a possibility.
I'm talking about the newest version of the cheap Chinese diesel heater that also includes a built in water heater function. _________________ Dave Cook
