Thanks, guys, for the info. I stay away from Facebook to try to keep a low profile on the interwebs.

We'll be on our way from Vancouver to Austin TX at that time on a month long trip so this is perfect if it's May 7-10th this year!

Correct, May 7-10th this year.

Should be the same menu as last year (if you don't mind), and hopefully the raffle will be back in full force.

Same campground, Lone Mesa near Moab.

The Syncro Solstice has always been one of my favorite outings with the Vanagon Community. There is just so much to see and do. Here are a few clips over the years in the Moab Area. If you have not been to the Syncro Solstice, this should be on your list and this year will be fantastic!

Cheers,
Ron

They usually post when the site is up for registration. Last year that was in March.

He doesn't want to spend it in the desert amongst a dazzling group of erudite Vanagon enthusiasts? Smile

It's the 14 hour drive, school, and the fact he'd drive everyone there mad, especially me, he LOVES camping, and HIS !! westy, Lucy, but solstice is not for him, not just yet, maybe when he's 10.
I missed his 5th birthday last year, he went to Israel to see his grandparents and 14 of his cousins, I think the wife is OK if I went, but missing his birthday last year was Sad

I totally get it. That is way, way more important. You'll be missed!

He'll grow up all too soon. Good decision to stay with him and family. You will be missed. Sad

I'll be there as usual. I'll look for the sign up in March. I'll still be in Baja until the end of March and my wife wants me to spend April with her in Tucson. I have to get home to Salt Lake City to do taxes and then off to Tucson. 'Going to be doing a lot of driving.
