Hi everybody.

My Name is Mathias and I´m from Germany. I´m working in Stuttgart and I´m interested in the history of the Porsche Villa on the Killesberg, where the first Prototypes of the KDF were built.

The Villa itself was built in 1923/1924 when Dr. Ferdinand Porsche was Chiefengineer at Daimler Benz . He ordered a "Landhouse" from the German Architect Bonatz which also was the Architect of the Stuttgart Main Station. The Villa was laid on the Killesberg nearly alone.

In 1934, the Garage was extentioned to the garden side about 6 meters and upgraded with a workshop to build the early Prototypes of the KDF.

Ferdinand Porsche and his Family lived in the Villa until their move to Gmünd in Austria.

At the End of WW2, the Villa was occupied by german soldiers and after the End of the war by french soldiers.

In 1950, the Villa was returned to the Porsche Family. The war damages were removed and some additional conversions were made. For example the relocation of the entrance to the left side.

After Ferry Porsche died in 1998, the Villa was renovated and transformed to a guest house of the Porsche AG.

Here is an actual photo:

Becouse the Porsche Family lived in the villa from 1923 - 1998 (with some interruptions), there exist many photos with the villa in the back.

I would be glad, if someone finds more photos, especially from the period from 1935 - 1960 where the Villa can be seen in the back.

bye Mathias

Driven by that place, pretty trippy to see how relatively unchanged it was. Was almost hoping to spot a KDF wagon.
