I use it daily just like my real VW. Picked it up at a flea market in Brighton, UK

Not weird, but this tee shirt I got. I've never seen a Ghia with dual trun signals. Was this ever a real thing? Or did someone not know any better and just photoshop some on?

I don’t even currently own a bus, but have wasted a ton of time digging threw piles of old Licence plates on vacation looking for a “181” plate for my Thing. Also just kept me occupied wile wife, daughters and mother-in-law shopped.
Odd how every other knick-knack vendor on the island has a stack of old Licence plates. Found 818, 1801, 981 but no 181.

I bought a white "VW First Act" Electric Guitar 7 or 8 years ago at a yard sale. It's never been played nor even had strings installed. The story I was told by the seller is that for a few years, maybe around 2005 to 2009?, VW gave away Electric Guitars with new VW's. The guitars color matched the color of the car it came with. The serial number of the car is actually on the back of the head stock. Hard to see in the photo, but the 3 chrome buttons on the body have "VW" in the center.

I had never owned a VW and I do not play guitar, but for some reason I had to have it. Little did I know that in 2019, I would buy an Ivory colored Karmann Ghia???? I had forgotten all about the guitar until I read this thread. Surprised I've never again heard about these guitars. Very unique advertising!!

That's cool. The VW finger sign is hilarious. Around the same time (2005) there was a commercial with a hip hop German engineer throughing that sign.
If the color matches your Ghia flip that plate and have it engraved with your vin number.
Huh oh, missing hardware.

I picked up a VW guitar a few years ago. It’s actially not bad for a fairly low end guitar. I believe they came in 4 different colours (Red, black, white, and blue?) I have a red one. It also came with some VW picks, and a strap made out of seatbelt webbing.
Kind of a cool conversation piece for nerds like me.
