Green Cable Next to Passenger Side Running Board

Hey All,
I am new to VW's and noticed a green cable that is cut under car just behind passenger door of my 73 SB. I followed it up the front, behind the passenger front wheel, then goes up under the hood. Any idea what that may be?

Vapour hose to charcoal cannister in right wheel well.
