not sure if you are asking about a westfalia rear bed specifically but here are come images from the ASI RIviera bed that one USA company produced, and could be easily duplicated.

in this thread https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4650724

Again in a Bay, but same idea.. they use 4 to hold more weight on the bed w/o bending/breaking the base board while owner steps/sits weight on it.

I live in Russia, so it is hard to buy something from USA for me Sad. 'cuz of that, I can only repeat this accessory from a photo.

I love the photo of the mechanism on the tiles. I’m guessing those are 12” tiles to provide a scale.

that is a folding seat.
if that is indeed what you have, you don't need blueprints.
bolt it in and fold it down.

good luck Smile

There is a big difference between the Westy bed hinges and the "Z- bed" found in what we call "Tin Top" Vanagons. It is called the "Transporter", "Caravelle" or T25 or T3 depending on what part of the world you live in.

The Westy Bed is not as wide because of the cabinets inside the camper.
The "Z-Bed" is a longer bed that looks close to your bed in your picture.

It has been years since I had a Z-Bed in my Syncro, but your hinges look like it might be a Z-Bed. Lubricate thr hinges and as it was already said bolt it down and use it.

We are sometimes seeing parts for sale from someone in Poland and also parts on eBay from Lativia.
You might have some luck if you try to find a bed from those countries if shipping is harder from the USA.

It is best to find an original VW bed as the original beds really save storage space under the bed.

Well, that bed isn't mine, and the person that sent this photo doesn't want to share with me blueprints.

Ah, that is confusing because you said, "I have this seat." So it was assumed that was your seat. Translation is hard sometimes, no worries.

I'm not sure public blueprints exist for the Z bed, but I second Steve's comment. There are a lot of parts in Latvia, Estonia, and Poland. Might be able to get some shipped in from there. But if someone has a Z bed laying around maybe they can take some pics with a ruler. I just bolted mine in yesterday, otherwise I would do so. They are a pain to put in and I am not taking it out again, haha.

I will be taking a Z bed out of my 91 soon and I can take detailed pics for you. Likely within 2 weeks.

The picture above shows the mechanism for all the passenger van seat beds in USA models. I'd guess the same all over the world. They only mount to the body on the left and right sides and don't need any floor supports. I don't know what the first set photos were that showed a series of floor-mounted brackets, but those would terribly interfere with space under the seat.

I'd hold out until you found a seat like the picture above. Good luck.

Best to know what will fit....Are passenger van rear seats the same across all years? Like, could I bolt an '87 rear seat (from passenger van with cardboard trim panels) in a '85? I read elsewhere on this forum that some guys were having to move the securing pins on the body for a rear seat swap.

Post pictures of your Vanagon, it would help us to help you if we had a better idea of what you have.
