Can someone out there in Samba land help ID the two white/cream colored plastic fittings at the bottom horizontal frame of the vent wing window?
I'm reassembling the doors, and these fittings don't seem to 'align' with any other part or function....i.e. the 'slot' in the bottom of the fitting. 1969 Bug
Thank you!

Thanks for your input vwoldbug! I checked and the fittings aren't for the window regulators. They seem to be a mystery! I'll continue to ask around...

I recently rebuilt the vent Windows on my '73 super. IIRC the slots on the glass side of that piece fit into the bottom of the rubber seal to help align it in the frame's slot. I'm not sure why it has that lower extension because nothing connects into it.

I just went and looked at half a dozen vent windows that I have from a 68 and a 70. Not one had two, two had one and the rest none including my unmolested 68 that I’m restoring.

If they ever existed they’ve fallen off over the years and decomposed in the bottom of the door. I refitted one and can honestly not see what their purpose is as the steel section protruding locates the window in place.

I have a few spare sets and I found the same thing.
