The 'Xtreme' vinyl looks like has a lot of texture, correct? |
It has what I'd describe as a medium pebble-grain matte finish. Sewfine will send samples of any/all of their materials. |
You have been a huge help and why love theSamba. You not only get help for what you wanted, though additional help too!
Carol Werner, the president, replied to my follow-up email and we had a discussion. If I am understanding correctly, only have vinyls which have more texture than original. It was only after ordering the carpet samples this became clear otherwise, yes, would have ordered samples. It will not be until Monday at the soonest will hear back on which is the smoothest.
As for the carpet, they can do custom cut and bind, in this case to cover a wood platform replacing the lower cushion (removing back seat so the dogs have room). No price given yet. Did get samples of light and medium greys plus tan and brown (to keep the number down to free of charge). That solves the dilemma of how to make the platform not look like a hack job supplied by the local hardware store.
Curious, are the seams on the original cards heated or sewn? Happen to have a close up picture showing the original texture, please? If don't, please don't go out of your way, as said, just a curiosity. _________________ Please consider I am Autistic, so I process information differently and still working on social skills. Thanks.
