I glued the cardboard glove box of my 1959 ragtop back together.
Has anybody used a clear material on either inside/outside to give it more strength?
Best,

geometrically, I think our glove boxes are plenty strong, but if you wanna' coat it - do it...
I once was removing the glove box, from my Ghia - maybe, for the first time, and sadly ripped it - I did not wanna buy another one after this one lasted 1/2 a century...
So, I drilled holes, on either side of the injury and used wire to stitch it up - SEE >
this was in 2014 and is holding together very well... _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

You could thin some wood glue and brush on a light coat?

If you look on the inside you can see the screen marks from when made. Paper pulp onto the screen. I believe it was like a paper machete. Mine is kind of shinny on the back. Some watered down glue should be fine. |
