Any plans to sell that caliper adapter, or at least make the CAD/CNC files available? That's the exact rotor/caliper combo I've had sitting on the back burner for the last five years due to a lack of time, even with rotors/calipers/carriers/pads sitting on the shelf. And with two engine swaps underway in my life, I'm not going to find the time anytime soon either... |

I can make the CAD files available as they're my own. I've listed all parts needed in the facebook album.
Just let me know which extension you want. They're currently Solidworks .sldprt files, but can make .stl .step . igs files
You'll need a little spacer on the top on later hubs, as they've got a little notch. Yu can see it on my moke up hub in the facebook album. _________________ my French blog https://vwpanelvan.wordpress.com/

If they were mine I would, but since they're not my work .. I won't. It's really not my place to do so without clear authorization from vince1, which I currently don't have. Maybe ask him? |

calipers and pads look identical to the Varga-made-set in our 2004 Ford / Mercury. That Ford / Mercury has about the same curb weight as my 1977 bus but the payload is substantially less. Here is the kicker - my 1977 bus with drum rear brakes has a 60 - 0 stopping distance of 123.5 feet while the Ford / Mercury 60 - 0 is 140 feet with 4 wheel disc. The 4 wheel disc would be a downgrade but it looks nice and probably fades less. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Hi Vince, Do you still have the information for this rear brake conversion?
Part numbers for the (I assume later VW) parts you have used, CAD files etc?
From which car are the disks?
The Facebook photos do not show anymore.
Thanks,
Lars |

I've got the CAD files on my computer at home if you need them. PM me with your email address and I can send them along. |
