"the party barge" perfect for people transport at shows. 65 bus chassis, I had heard that is was a parts transporter at a VW warehouse.
Deluxe dash fitted up to it

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

when they developed the pancake engine why did vw never put it in the old type 2s and increase the practicality? _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

I guess the trade off would have been a much smaller treasure chest on single cabs. I love that mine is so tall and cavernous. _________________ nothing |

Ironically, we recently started working on our '74 Thing and talked about how cool it would be to do something like this hahaha. I think replacing a few boots, brake shoes, and battery will be less consuming...haha _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

I think very little besides the tin is VW on that Thing. I've been looking at the pictures to see if i can figure out if its a Bombardier or something under there, but it doesn't look like any of their vehicles I've ever encountered. The side by side engine/driver layout reminds me of an Aebi tractor, but as far as I know none of their vehicles of this size are tracked. The Jeep engine and the fact that it's in France makes me wonder if it's some sort of WWII vehicle. That's a Hurricane engine that was made after the war (early 50s and on I think) but they could have replaced an old Go-devil engine if it is WWII vintage. Except for the temp those look like WWII era gauges too. Or it might be scratch built. |

Thank You!
It was driving me crazy. I didn't consider it could be a self propelled missile system. I was trying to figure out if it was a heavily modified Studebaker Weasel or something. |
