Hi,
Does anyone know if a custom dash like this (or similiar), with an all wood look, is available for sale? Or if not, if there is a file that I can 3D print?
Thanks in advance

An entire Dashboard “like that” in wood?
No. That one is metal and part of the car.
Your best bet is an appliqué or veneer.
Go scan one and get your own KNOWN good file.
Then you can SELL it to the rest of us.
This is a great opportunity for you. _________________ Volkswagen!

If you're looking for a "real" wood (or "real" wood veneer) dash face for your Karmann Ghia, then you'll have to either fabricate one yourself or have a local craftsman/cabinet maker fabricate one for you.
This previous thread, Real Wood Dash Face, may give you some points to consider before taking up such a project.
Another much easier alternative that will honestly look quite good if executed carefully is to cover your metal dash face with a professional vinyl wrap product such as 3M's DI-NOC.
There have been several previous threads that have addressed this technique, and a Forum Search for "3M DI-NOC" should provide you with plenty of information.
Here's a link to get you familiarized with what I'm talking about, ...
- Has anyone here used this technique to cover their wood dash |

Thanks for everyone's replies.
The custom portion is the dash pad which is wood-looking also. @KGCoupe, thanks for the reference to the other thread. very interesting. I appreciate it. |
