Yes, very convenient. We can buy on Sunday too. I lived in N.C., not sure if everyone in car can drink but driver, like early '90s, we can not do that here.

I worked in the grocery business for 10 years. There is no food shortages here in the USA. Your local store might be out of a few items from day to day but overall there is no way people in 'Merica are gonna starve.

It is the normal cycle in the grocery stores to see empty shelves on the 1st and the 15th of the month because many companies pay on the 1st & 15th. Also many states set up welfare and food stamps on the 1st & 15th.

DO NOT panic buy food. The USA grows and produces a lot more food then we consume. There is not any shortages of food.

Hopefully there are "people" to pick and process the food produced.

Tell that to all the nut jobs around here, I stopped by the store today and it looked like they were moving out, meat dept absolutely bare, paper, soap, pasta, canned goods all gone, frozen dept almost naked, the only things left were some veggies and some oddball side dish stuff. Signs on everything stating "limit two", mostly hanging on shiny bare shelves. Liquor store was cleaned out worse than Christmas eve as well. Confused

What floors me is that our local stores are out of paper products and sanitizer...and water...but the NyQuil / DayQuil and all the other shit you would buy to relieve the symptoms of an illness like this almost look untouched.
I really wish I could grab the PA system in some of these stores without being locked up and remind people the US is not a third world country.
There will be another truck next week...so stop the fighting over toilet paper for Christs sake.

I'm amazed that all the healthy food is gone but the snack isle is fully stocked.

Who is testing the person working in the drive thru food line? Did you see them sneeze on your hamburger?
And by the way I hate gloves, they are dirty filthy things that do not protect me, just the person wearing them. At least a Dr. puts a new glove on for each client.
I actually saw a woman working the register at the grocery sneeze into her gloved hand and then handle all of the food before she bagged it.
Yes I did change aisle. Paranoid much?

Maybe the Admins are just washing their hands more.

I am but mostly because I'm still doing stuff that would be considered high risk in other areas of the country.

Lots of people are still not washing their hands correctly in "dirty" areas, possibly me included at times. 20 seconds is longer than you think.

Just like they have been saying

Containment has failed. We have to move to isolation to stop, the huge peak and overload of health services.
