I had to laugh when I saw that Fresnel lens .
I had one on my '56 deluxe on the corner window between the jail bars and glass.
I looked over at my bus one day and saw it was full of blue smoke. The lens had focused the suns rays on to my Navy Pea Coat- and was smoldering-- real wool and what a nasty smell - |
What do you think it is?

Hot!
and maybe its just an old photo but those look like black plates but that number sequence (111 aaa) would be a blue and yellow plate in California.

Schleicher K7 Rhönadler? Schleicher made the ASK 16 motor glider with a four cylinder direct drive engine design based upon the VW air-cooled engine. It used a single magneto ignition, a wet sump, and produced 67 hp at 3600 rpm.
