Nice cave!
Lots of great stuff there, nicely displayed.
There's a couple in there I'd like to reach into the monitor and grab. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Thanks for the compliments. And thanks to Fish for the chuckle!
It all looks nice, as it is all clean. Sadly my garage is not this orderly. |

Got the Christmas stuff up, and figured I'd post to complete the pictorial of my collection.

I found these over the weekend in an antique store.
Meccano Magazine, the official publication of Meccano Ltd., maker of Dinky Toys.

Don’t know if this is correct place to mention but wife and I were in Walmart and saw these tonight. VW toys are alive and well.

Little gift from Santa this year. Minichamps 1949 Hebmuller 1/18th scale in red and creme. I've always been fond of the 1/43rd scale Paul's Model Art/Minichamps, and this didn't disappoint.

Vintage Hong Kong friction flower car in pink by Busy Bee. (The same car was marketed in the late '60s by Cragstan.)
Car was mint in damaged box. Before and after photos show box repair with clear plastic replacing cellophane. Great box art!

The bronze one is my latest find. I bought the ivory one in the late 90's. The bronze one isn't perfect, but is pretty nice. Evidently they originally came with a green piece of luggage, neither one has one. |

Everettt, Nice stance on that Notch, it is very clean. The Dinkys sit like trucks with four snow tires... |

I recently received this Made-in-Japan tin beetle for my birthday. It is about 8 inches long (1/22 scale) and although not marked, I believe it is a Bandai due to the similarities with the large 1/16 scale Bandai bump-n-go cars (also known as their "Automobiles of the World" series).
It was quite dirty when received but it cleaned up nicely with only a few scratches on the roof. Like the larger Bandai's, this one has the clear decklid through which a stylized engine is visible. A red light and fan blade is visible in the engine compartment, which must have flashed and rotated at one time.
The interior features a stylized version of the classic 60's dashboard along with wide stripped seats.
The battery compartment is relatively clean except for some corrosion on the compartment door. Unfortunately the motor appears to be jammed as the rear wheels will not turn without excessive force. I tried adding batteries but was unable to get either the motor or the fan blade/flashing light to work.
This is very similar to another model in my collection, which is light brown in color and is much rougher (more loved?). The light brown model is a non-motorized version with a solid decklid. Although it is hard to see in this picture, both cars have the same inconsistent stamping for the engine's cooling slots.

Happy birthday Don!
That looks like a nice Bandai. Congrats.
Here's mine. Other than some odd rust spots, it's in pretty decent shape.

Ok. So has anyone else become so sick with this, that they are banished to the attic? Lol. It all started so simply back in 95, with only 3. And now.......crap1

No, not at all.
Our sickness isn't banished to the attic. They live right in the main house where we can see them every day.
