Wasn't it Randy Carlson who put on the freak show at the Classic? This should be added to the line-up.

Today's horrendous kijiji find.
From the ad:
GREAT TIME FOR A PROJECT
This 1973 Volkswagen is a very unique car. Perfect for the person who wants to have a one of a kind car,
This car has TWO FRONTS welded together, everything works as if it were a normal car. The car is fully attached to a dodge pickup frame . The motor has been changed out and now has a Corvair Chevy engine.
All floors are new no rust period. All wiring is connected and everything works , lights ,and gauges all work.
The body has been started and has very little rust. All glass is perfect. Car has been partly undercoated.
This car runs great and transmission is perfect. _________________ '60 Canadian Standard, '64 Bug, another '64 Bug, '66 Bug, '69 Sunroof Bug, '69 GT3 Bug, '71 Super, '72 Super, '73 Canadian Custom, '74 Love Bug, '83 Mexi Bug, '85 Cabrio, '94 Mexi Bug, '99 New Beetle, '02 New Beetle Turbo S, '03 New Beetle VR6. Other than it being on a pickup chassis, I quite like that. 1303 front on the back? _________________

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

I’m wondering how a Corvair engine fits in a Dodge pickup truck chassis. :shock _________________ Jack Staggs

imo this could be saved. Drop those headlights, strip it to bare metal. Different wheels. |

That must have been a pretty new Beetle at the time, 65 or newer? _________________

OK here is Gigantor leaving the garage. First start on the engine and first time these sections of VW have moved for at least 40 years!
