Rebuilding my first set of 40 IDA Weber's on my friends Porsche , I've got one carb done and working on the other one, not too bad at all, I did a little search here but it doesn't seem much in the way of people offering rebuild service on these carbs, they are obviously similar to the two-barrel ida model, shaft bushings are solid on them.

I bench balanced this one and got all throats flowing even, should be minimal adjustment when they go back on the car.

very nice meticulous job. They are not hard to rebuild if you take your time like you did and really clean them out. The problem usually arises with the shaft wear and that gets more complicated.

Thanks dr914, does anyone know of a company that offers a repair kit that they sale for these carbs to repair the throttle bushings? I have seen online offered the oversize shafts.

Finally got the carbs on I spent about 30 minutes dialing them in, they literally function perfect, real nice steady idle and real good acceleration from idle to high RPM.
