Cool photos of the model (231) grease markings here before the Bus was painted.
3-position hump seat mounts so it's a 1961-62 Kombi
Probably 1962 since the Bus in the back has 1962 front turn signal holes

Notice the lapel pins.
And the spreader bar between the wheel wells. Lifting point?
I like the rear hatch header sitting on top of the inner nose piece. And the crispness of all the panels pre-primer/paint and usage! Excellent!

Painted right over it, if you look at the shine in the right light you can still see that mark on some, it shows up when you strip or sandblast. Headlight buckets have it too, but some of those went on after primer.
