They appear to be 71-79 bay bus wheels. Earlier busses had a different
bolt circle diameter. _________________ '67 bug: seized by the authorities

Should fit. These are very early 5x112 wheels, have the circular cutout to go around the hubs. Later wheels had kinda of a 5 bump cutout. I cannot remember either one not fitting where the other one did, and I cannot remember when they changed, but your original wheels on your 1972 may have had these circular cutouts also. So you should be good to go. _________________ 1969 Deluxe, owned since 1973

Yes, buy them
Have the tires and valve stems removed
Take the wheels and have them powder coated
Buy a set of Hankook Vantra tires from Amazon
Get the tires mounted, balanced, and new valve stems
Be happy
A friend of mine just did this and the price was very reasonable if you know where to go _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

My buddy had his done for $35 each at RW Little here in San Diego. At least that should give you an idea of what to expect cost wise. I think due to the virus the shop gave him a better price than usual. Last time I'm sure I paid them at least $40 per wheel.
Amazon tires:

you can also use
https://www.amazon.com/Hankook-Vantra-RA18-195R14-...amp;sr=8-3
The second ones are slightly taller _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

because they fit, have the correct load rating, reinforced sidewalls, and many bus owners have good things to say. If you want your head to spin, go to the tire thread. Just don't buy passenger tires. your bus will wander all over the road, and it is dangerous. |

I have Hankooks on my bus as well as a few buddies. They work well. The old ones were called RA08. The new ones are RA18. Vantra.
The price is right and the ride is right. I sent you the links. Hard to beat that price. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

I agree with Aeromech.
Buy them on EBay or Amazon. Don't do what I did, and buy them from a tire store. I spent over $700 on a set of 5, balanced, mounted and with a road hazard warranty. |

Well, you have to consider not only the tire cost but dismounting, mounting, balance, and valve stems. So $110 each out the door isn't too bad. Especially if he's a friend and make all this painless. Don't forget a spare tire. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Well I misspoke, out the door is $490.80 - That includes mount balance, disposal, tax. |

When I took my freshly sandblasted and refinished rims into a shop to have the tires mounted they recommended next time I come into the shop first with the raw rims. They offered to spin them in their balancer to ensure they are not too far out of wack before I spent time and money refinishing the rim. Apparently one of my rims would have been better put to use as a flower pot. |
