yes but if it is at room temp it is bad.

At room temp the thermostat should be constricted. They are expanded like that when the engine is hot or in the case of yours, when it is broken.

Thank you. It was in a parts lot a buddy of mine got. So, it's unfortunetly worthless then? I didn't realize it was bad. Thanks.
