Lots of "mature age" owners here... This is me back in 2008, with my L87 Pearl White '64 Ghia Cabriolet that I bought in 1983. My hair is "somewhat" grayer now.
Removed a 1776 cc engine that I had in the Ghia for a few years, and ready to install a stock 1600 dual-port. Weber 40 IDF dual carburetors went on afterwards. Gene Berg 1 3/8" Ghia header for the engine is standing up at right. Engine is still in the car now in 2020 and running well. Engine compartment seal around my neck. |

Rome, that's because we are at the age and financial status to finally have the type of car we want, yet in a place to sometimes stupidly fall into the rabbit holes of our hobby!!!
When I was younger and trying to build a fun car, I had to buy cheap crap from the JC Whitney catalog or Pep Boys, whatever I couldn't scrounge from my dad's shop.....So all in all....proud to be in the "mature age owners" group!!

My Ghia hasn't changed any in the last 25 years, (it's still stashed in that garage, waiting for me to restore it) but my hair and mustache are now white! |

Well said, but in my case, I'm sure the purists are still twitchin'

I was going to use my driver's license photo, but this will have to do.
I'm wearing my favorite cap and my Covid-19 mask for safety. Holding a photo of my Ghia (the one closest to camera) that was taken at Mid-America FunFest
about 2002.
EDIT:
O.k........seriously......here's PeeWee and me gettin' ready to go cruisin' in the Beetle.
PeeWee's the one with the hair. |

I'm Ramsey. Out of all the picture I take of this car or parts of it, or parts of parts, suprisingly I don't actually have a picture of me with the Ghia. So here's one of each. I'm in New York State. Mine is a early 1960. I have the OG 36hp, but I recently put in a big bore (1385cc) 40HP.

I’d like to have an action shot with a smoky burnout, but don’t see that happening anytime soon, so cheesy selfie it is...

My name is Paul and I been working on for a long time a 70 vert.
This is a picture of my son and I on a beach in Long Island, NY. He was there moving a helicopter for the Air Force.
