Has anyone converted heater boxes with low controls to high controls for bus? Didn’t realize difference and got some very good boxes and installed engine and now see a problem. Thanks for any info

Sorry lever controls. Looks like bugs on bottom of box and bus is up high

That heater box pictured above is not correct for a bus. The lever and cable connection
should be on the outboard side of the box, not inboard as shown.

As you’ve discovered, heater boxes for beetles and 68-71 buses are in fact, not the same. The levers on top of the heater boxes point in different directions, being bus boxes are more “up” than “down”.
