Believe it or not those fake deluxes have been bid up to that amount on BAT. Which is why people keep churning them out I suppose. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I don't understand, if a bus is legit, that anything >$25k IMHO, should ALWAYS be sold with a Zertificat and a CLOSEUP of the VIN stamp.
M-codes can be faked and everything else as well.
Yes, this mouse grey 23 been for sale for a LOOONG time, so something must not add up. _________________ '63 German Walk-Thru Deluxe 15-window - SOLD |

Great note Thom.
They left out other small things in the description: "Even windows you can't open, open". And, "We cut off all the body molding while it was stretched, to start the shrinking process immediately for the convenience of the next owner." _________________

This little nugget at the very bottom of the ad caught my eye.

The split window the multi-window bus is by far the most iconic long known for its laid-back California lifestyle more often than not with surfboards and bodyboards on the roof these vehicles have been spotted up and down the Pacific coast highway parked while their owners are out surfing for more than 55 years!
Is it me, or does the whole listing read like a Nigerian prince scam letter? _________________ Matt Johnson

Standard Issue Used Car Salesman Bullshit. All unnecessary embellishment without saying anything about the actual car.

This Bus has come up a few times before and there were numerous issues, including the fact that it was doubtful it's an original 23-Window.
In the engine photo I don't see a VIN tag on the right side of the engine compartment
M-code plate looks legit to me but I'm skeptical it's real given the issues.
I'd want to see the VIN plate and the VIN stamp by the battery |
Maybe a real M-code but to a different bus!
Inward facing vents are certainly not a 62 feature either. |

The pic above shows 9 innie vents. That is incorrect. Were the vents repaired and welded in backwards? Is it a late 63? or something else?
Also, a 62 has the 3 position front seat, not one position. Where was the welding done?
If it has outies there are Nine vents:
Innies are TEN:

I always imagine ads like this are created with preconceived ideas and expectations controlling the thoughts and actions of the seller.
Big chip on his shoulder? Bad flare-up of hemorrhoids? Tired of answering stupid questions you imposed on yourself due to piss poor content in your ad?
I just think this guy thinks we are all stupid, some of us are. So he just comes out swinging.

The pic really shows 9 outies. Notice how the innie pic shows the wide part of the louver at the TOP? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

I know this ad is really old, but take a closer look at the photos of these vents. They indeed are outies, but with the noon sun- each vent is shadowing the one beneath it. Other pics show the outies more clearly- but distantly. Innies have a smile in the corners of each louver's mouth- this bus has a frown. _________________
