I am using stock 1967 front turn signal lights on my Buggy. The front turn signal light fixture reflectors located behind the light bulbs are very dull.
I tried painting them Silver but the paint wouldn't stick to the aluminum reflector.
Has anybody tried repairing them? |

Try scuffing them up a bit with sandpaper (and clean the surface with brake clean) so the paint will stick better? A bright silver or white paint on those reflective surfaces works just as well as a chrome finish - I painted my corroded tail light bulb housings white a few years ago.

The 1967 turn signal reflectors I have are chrome plated steel. If you do have aluminum reflectors (I haven't seen those), you should be able to polish them just like polishing an aluminum wheel or any other aluminum part. Mother's polish works well.
Steel can be polished too. Remove the chrome and get busy. Or line them with aluminum tape. You can polish the aluminum tape. _________________ Brian
