How often do the rubber hoses need replacing. |
Very hard to say. I finally replaced my 35 year old brake hoses last year - when I cut the old ones apart to inspect they looked just fine. |

Rubber from the old days was great stuff. I wonder what they changed in rubber production that has resulted in terrible rubber quality these days?
I changed my original rubber hoses 3 years ago and the last time I was at the State Tech exam he complained that the fitting for these hoses were a bit rusty. --- I wonder if it might work to carefully apply some rust remover to these fittings and try to clean off the rust. Then put a little bit of clean oil on them to keep the rust away? _________________ www.edwardpowell.com |
