Turn the key have power, able to use all electrical powered options.

Cleaned up some wiring, gave the starter a couple of knocks.

The car also seems to have a clicking noise under the dash after I take the key out. At one point after reconnecting the battery my turn signals randomly kicked on and the clicking under dash was going again.

Very green working on this. Just seeing if there are any more trouble shoots? Starter an obvious thing I think I should replace anyways. Appears to be original.

Car was starting one weekend, and then just no turnover the next.

Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance.

Do you have the stock FI, if so the clicking under the dash is probably the fuel pump relay. Is your car an automatic trans by chance?, we really need more info about the car.

That was my thought when I read the question.

You are both right, a little more info would have been handy. I was pretty defeated when I posted, went lazy.

Fuel injected automatic trans is correct sir.

Engine is stock.

Yes stock FI. Automatic.

Fuel pump is certainly pushing gas, super rich smell underneath, some hoses and seals need doing on the back end, can see some shine.

Since its an auto, the contacts at the shift lever could be suspect. Do you have a meter or even a 12V test light. Before you start throwing money at it. Jack it up and put on stands. Have someone try and start it while you have the meter/ test light on the starter. If you get a good reading, than starter could be the issue. However, if no power, time to do some tracing.

Double check your system voltage before going too far. I'd check the length of the brushes in the generator next, then maybe replace the VR, as that's the only thing I know that will chatter the contacts with the engine off. BTDT, unplugged the battery to keep the charge in it. In my case it was both worn brushes and a VR that died.
