I just picked this up today from a guy who used to own a Dormobile. He claims that this was a garbage bag that hung from the dash. I find that hard to believe. Looks very professionally made. The stitching is all very nice. Even & straight. Has anyone ever seen another one of these?
It is made out of the exact tent top material as an early Dorm. Also has the same female end of the clasp as the top secure straps & the cot secure covers.
Maybe it is originally from a Bedford Dorm or a Landrover Dorm.

I had a 71' MW Dorm that had that exact bag- it had a corresponding OG clip inside one of the cupboards that it hung from. My best guess was it was for random kitchen stuff~ forks, spoons, etc. Since it hung right below the sink.
Sorry for the fat-bitch pic! But it was a cool camper!

Cool thanks for the info. Well since mine is an early SO42 Dorm maybe I will just hang it behind the seat as a registration & insurance pouch. _________________ Home of the one true split Bus Motorhome |

I have exactly the same bag in my 1963 Martin Walter Dormobile. It hangs from a clip on the kitchen cabinets. According to the original MW owner's booklet it is intended as a garbage bag. _________________ fig

Can you post a pic of your in its proper location.
Aaron or maybe it is a people version of a dog poop bag. If that is the case I am not going to put anything of importance in it! _________________ Home of the one true split Bus Motorhome |
