need some help on deciding what exhaust.
Going on a high comp 1915 with high lift and 40x35,5 valves hot street engine that wil go inside my 1973 super beetle.
I can't really decide on what exhaust I want
the devil on my shoulder says go with an 42mm CSP Evolution competition. the angel on the other one says go with an vintage speed 43MM SUPER SPORT EL. exhaust laws are pretty strict in my country as they are only allowed 95dB at 2000RPM. also I want to keep the heating because I drive the bug all year round sadly I have never heard either of them so was wondering if other people could help me who did hear them.

don't know if I will order them with the j tubes as I kind of want to keep the heating or not but doesn't it make a hell of a sound? _________________ Slow is smooth, smooth is fast,

Those pipes are too big for stock heater boxes, does CSP have a big heater box option? Pricey? |

yes they sell them with heater boxes. difference is about €300. only I heard there are no aftermarket heater boxes that perform as well as the stock ones _________________ Slow is smooth, smooth is fast,

True on heater performance but not true for engine performance. You would need to have the aluminum fins molded to the pipes like the stock ones, most aftermarket ones do not. |

1915cc, VS exhaust with "extra quiet" option. Also has CB Performance 1-1/2" heater boxes.

Did you decide on the FK8 cam? If yes, then definitely chose the Super Comp.
The 38 mm Evo will handle 140 hp no problem and will be good for a daily 1914. The 42 mm will be too large and you will loose driveability in the lower rpms (city segment)
If you are looking for max rpm power then you chose the 42 mm Evo.
And both will clear your noise control. _________________ https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=435993 |

Sadly no. Dur to budget and keeping it relatively easy as a first build i ditched the fk-8 wit 1.4’s and am going to an W-125 with scat 1.25:1 rockers. Not that different in specs but a lot easier to build and somewhat cheaper _________________ Slow is smooth, smooth is fast,
