I used to service this van for the previous owner. It has the stock 2.1 and is pushing 200k.
Sounds like a fun adventure to me! I hope their trip goes well. |

According to the article, “We usually use four (scooters) a day. They get from 25-30 miles before they die and we have to switch out to the next one."
I can see how these guys might find the Vanagon to be the ultimate in reliability; mine usually goes ten times that distance before it dies and I have to switch out to the next one ...
