Having an issue with my battery bracket. I got a new one because mine was missing. Well it's not fitting. Now my question is do I even have the right size battery in my damn car. Any information would be great.

Its the OG Diesel Engine. I do have a/c but it does not work great. I do run a radio, nothing speical.

Poor car has been sitting for 6 months due to needing a head gasket. If I want to drive to autoshop I wanted to get the battery taken care of because it was being held down by a tow strap Confused

Looks like a Group 58 is what's in there.
As far as brand... well- I think you're better off buying whatever gives you a good warranty local to you. Local FLAPS chains are a good bet.

You don't need a man- you need tools and a repair manual. Head gaskets on those old Diesels aren't too bad. I'd suggest a new waterpump, thermostat, timing belt, and tensioner/ idler, too.

Those Westmoreland Wabbit based cars were great!
Good luck and don't be a stranger. At least don't be stranger than me!

I do need tools and a repair manual. I kinda wanna try doing it on my own this time around. I am just scared to be honest, but I will see what I can do.

Do you have a place for parts that is best? I think I used Partsplace when they did the injection pump.

I'll be around. Going to try and work on my caddy more these days.Glad to hear you are still here and doing well. We should catch up.
